Extra View / XtraView Setup in Gansbaai

Overview

XtraView links a second (or third) decoder to your main one so the whole house can watch different channels on a single subscription — lounge, bedroom, patio, all sorted. No second account, no arguments over the remote on match day.

We run the extra cabling neatly, link the decoders, activate XtraView with DStv and test every room so there are no nasty surprises later. Cable runs are kept tidy and weather-protected where they go outdoors, because on this coast an exposed cable is a future fault waiting to happen.

For bigger homes and guesthouses, XtraView is the cost-effective way to put TV in several rooms without multiplying your monthly bill. We'll advise on the best decoder combination for your needs and how many views your setup can comfortably carry.

Holiday lets benefit especially — guests expect a TV in the main bedroom as well as the lounge, and XtraView delivers that on one subscription you control. We can set it up so it's simple for guests and easy for you to manage between bookings.

Everything is configured, activated and tested room by room before we leave, with a quick handover so you know how to switch between the linked decoders.

How many extra rooms you can run depends on your setup, and we'll advise honestly rather than overselling you decoders you don't need. For most Gansbaai homes and lets, two or three linked views covers the lounge, main bedroom and a guest room comfortably on one subscription — and it's all activated, tested and handed over before we leave.
